- How do I get a price for a pallet between the UK and France?
- In the calculator, enter the direction, the country and postcode outside France, the postcode in France, then the size, number, height and weight of your pallets. The ex-VAT price appears in 30 seconds, with no sign-up, for 1 to 3 pallets between mainland France, excluding Corsica, and 35 European countries, the United Kingdom and Ireland included.
- Is the price shown online an estimate?
- No. It is the price calculated by the pricing engine behind all our bookings, from your exact route and the dimensions, height and weight of each pallet. It includes the current fuel surcharge. Options chosen at booking, such as a booked delivery slot or ad valorem insurance, are added to it.
- Do I need customs paperwork to send a pallet from the UK to France?
- Yes. Since Brexit, goods moving between the United Kingdom and France need customs formalities: an export declaration in the UK, with an EORI number starting with GB, and an import declaration in France. The online offer flags them, but customs clearance charges are not included in the price. Between Ireland and France there are no customs formalities at all.
- Will my business pay French VAT?
- No. A business established outside France is invoiced and charged ex VAT, with no French VAT. In the United Kingdom and elsewhere outside the EU, no French VAT applies; in Ireland and the rest of the EU, the business accounts for VAT under the reverse charge with its VAT number. A business established in France pays French VAT at 20%.
- Can you collect a pallet in France and deliver it to the UK?
- Yes, that is the second direction of the service. Choose “From France” in the calculator: we collect at your supplier, anywhere in mainland France except Corsica, on average within 24 hours if you book before 4 pm French time, then deliver to your site. Into the UK, plan an import declaration with your customs agent.
- When should I request a quote rather than use the online price?
- Beyond 3 pallets, 2,500 kg of taxable weight, 800 kg per pallet, 400 × 240 cm of floor space or 200 cm in height; for a full or part load; for dangerous, temperature-controlled or out-of-gauge goods; and for Corsica, Monaco, some islands or Malta. A member of our team replies in under 2 working hours, 24 hours at most.
- How do I book and pay at the price shown?
- Open a free business account with your company name and your VAT number or tax ID, book the offer you want and pay by card, in euros, when you book. The amount is charged ex VAT for a business established outside France. The monthly invoice is issued between the 10th and the 15th of the following month.
- Do you serve Ireland, Gibraltar and Malta?
- Yes. Ireland and Gibraltar are priced online in 30 seconds, in both directions: no customs between Ireland and France, compulsory customs formalities for Gibraltar, with clearance charges not included. Malta is not covered by the online price: describe your shipment in a quote request and a member of our team replies with a firm price in under 2 working hours.
